Play Battleship Online at this nice Battleship Game
Play Battleship online here - in a big window. In the Battleship game you have to guess where the ships of the opponent are placed. The game is played by two people. I played this game at school with my classmate, in the classroom using a pencil and paper, when a teacher bored me to tears. It was invented by Clifford Von Wickler, but he never patented the game. It was published in 1943 by Milton Bradley Company as the pad-and-pencil game "Broadsides, the Game of Naval Strategy". Before you begin you have to arrange your ships secretly on the grid. You have two grids that are square (10 x 10). A specific square in the grid is identified by a letter and a number. Example: a5 In each round you announce a target square in the grid of your opponent and you try to guess where he has placed one of his ships and you try to hit it. If a ship sits on the same square that you have announced then it has been hit and you make a cross on your grid. When the whole ship is hit then it is sunk. The opponent must tell you if it is sunk or not. The winner is the person who has sunk all ships first. On one grid you arrange your ships and record the shots by your opponent making a cross on the square he has announced. On the other grid you record your own shots and if you hit an enemy ship you make a cross. If you have hit the whole ship of your opponent you cross it out and try to find and hit another.
