Super Grandmaster Chess Tournament Linares 2009

XXVI Linares Super Grandmaster Tournament 2009

The XXVI Linares tournament took place in Spain from 18th February to 8th March 2009.

Alexander Grischuk tied with Vassily Ivanchuk (both 8 points) but Grischuk won the tournament on the Linares tiebreak system, which gives the victory to the player who has more wins. He received 100.000 Euro. Many games in the tournament were drawn.
