Teimour Radjabov
Super Chess Grandmaster

Teimour Radjabov was born 12th March 1987 in Baku, Azerbaijan. 
He is a Super Chess Grandmaster (Elo rating above 2700) and learned chess when he was 4 years old. His outstanding talents made him a chess prodigy. In 1994 Teimour won the U9-Tournament in Dresden winning all games.

When he was 11 years old he received the title of International Master. Aged 12 he became European Champion in category U18 beeing the youngest player in this tournament.

In March 2001, just aged 14, he became the second youngest chess grandmaster in the history of chess at this time.




His FIDE Rating is 2751 (December 2008) and he is ranked as number 8 worldwide.
