How to beat the Dutch (as White) (Bird) Chess Opening?

The Dutch chess opening is a defense system for Black.

If you want to play it with White then it is called the Bird opening or the Dutch Attack.

Some chess players play the Dutch opening with the white pieces as well. They start first move 1.f4 and try to use and apply the knowledge and experience which they have gained playing the Dutch as Black.
