I learnt London System for White and studied it hard! Youtube videos of real games enhanced study.
For Black I wanted to learn an e4 response and a d4 response, so basic setups for King’s Indian Defence and French Defence have served me well.
Books confuse me, but chess tactics and chess strategies by Yasser Seirawan have been a Massive help!
Started learning Kings Indian Attack as well since it’s so similar to KID and like the London, it is more system than memorised lines.
I started learning Nov 17 and have beaten computer on chess.com set to level 6 several times (lost also, but that’s chess!)
I’m nothing special. If I can do it, anyone can!!
